Telangana News | Penalty Waiver on Property Tax, OTS orders issued
The Government issued order for "One Time Scheme (OTS)" on property tax which shall be taken up in a campaign mode from February 29, 2024 and scheme will close on March 3l, 2024.
Hyderabad: The Principal Secretary to Government, MA&UD Department, issued orders regarding waiver of 90% accumulated arrear interest on property tax, provided the taxpayer clears the principal amount of Property Tax dues till 2022-23 together with 10% of interest on accumulated arrears at one go in respect of all properties i.e., private properties and Government properties existing in the GHMC limits and other ULBs under “One Time Scheme (OTS)”.
This scheme is also applicable to all those taxpayers, who paid their entire property tax dues including interest/penalties up to March, 2023 during the current financial year prior to coming into force of this scheme, 90% of such interest shall be adjusted against the future payments.

The tax payers were requested to pay the property Tax and 10% of interest on accumulated arrears together with principal amount of Property tax till 2022-2023, at one go in respect of all properties i.e., Private Properties and Government properties, under “One Time Scheme (OTS)” at Citizen Service Centers at Circle level, Bill Collectors, Mee-seva, Online and Mobile Apps and so on.
