Tension in BRS with Congress guarantees: Revanth Reddy

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy on Monday quipped that the BRS leaders were getting confused with the guarantees announced by the Congress at its Vijayabheri Sabha a day back.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy on Monday quipped that the BRS leaders were getting confused with the guarantees announced by the Congress at its Vijayabheri Sabha a day back.

Revanth reminded that the Congress has fulfilled every promise given in the past and said that it will go to the people telling them what it will do.

On Sunday at a public meeting, former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi said it is her dream to her party forming a government in the state.

Talking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here, Revanth reminded that Sonia Gandhi announced six guarantees in Vijayabheri Sabha and party MP Rahul Gandhi promised to implement theM guarantees within 100 days of the Congress forming a government in the state.

He asked the people to take the decision by looking at the track record of the Congress in keeping its promises.

The differences between the Congress government and the BRS regime should be noted, he said.

When the Congress was in power in the past, free electricity, Indiramma houses, land titles for the deserving and Aarogyasri schemes were implemented, but on the contrary, the Modi government at the centre promised to bring back black money, put Rs15 lakhs in the account of every poor person, and give 2 crore jobs every year, none of which was fulfilled.

Just as the BJP government at the centre “cheated’ the people”, the BRS (erstwhile TRS) rode to power in the state promising a Dalit Chief Minister, three acres of land, and double-bedroom houses for the Dalits. All these promises have remained unrealised.
