The Kerala Story faces opposition as it sounds alert about ‘Love Jihad’: Mittal

He felt the producer and director of ‘The Kerala Story’ should be complimented for making a film on the sensitive issue, and blasted the West Bengal and Tamil Nadu governments for banning the film.

Pune: Films like ‘The Kerala Story’ would create awareness about the issue of Love Jihad, and so it is facing opposition from those who fear that the people involved in love Jihad would be exposed, suree Court Advocate Mani Mittal said on Monday.

He felt the producer and director of ‘The Kerala Story’ should be complimented for making a film on the sensitive issue, and blasted the West Bengal and Tamil Nadu governments for banning the film.

Mittal participated in the special online discussion programme held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the topic ‘The Kerala Story : Ban on the film or on freedom of expression ?’

Mittal said many films were released opposing the majority community such as ‘OMG’, ‘PK’, etc. The people opposing ‘The Kerala Story’ were keeping mum at that time.

Sunil Ghanwat, the State Coordinator of HJS for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh said that ‘The Kerala Story’ has exposed the facts of ISIS, a terrorist organisation. He claimed there is false propaganda about the film, that it is against a particular community. UNI SP SSP
