Tiger on the prowl in Adilabad; residents panic stricken
Officials of the forest department identified the pug marks of the tiger.
Hyderabad: Panic gripped residents of Telangana’s Adilabad district after a tiger was spotted near the Pipalkoti Reservoir, Bhimpur Mandal, Adilabad.
According to reports, the JCB driver spotted a tiger near the reservoir. He informed the local people and alerted the forest department officials.
With this information, forest department officials as well as a large number of local people reached the spot, but by then the tiger had left the place. Officials of the forest department identified the pug marks of the tiger.
A few days ago, the tiger was spotted in Indravelli Mandal of the district as well, since then the local people are panic-stricken due to the movement of the tiger in the area. They are scared to leave their homes at night.
The locals have requested the forest department officials to catch the wild cat immediately so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
