TPCC delegation meets Agnipath protesters in Chanchalguda Jail
Earlier, Revanth Reddy had said that the Congress party would stand by the youths arrested in the Secunderabad riots case. Rahul Gandhi also tweeted the same thing.
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) delegation led by its President A Revanth Reddy, MP on Friday met Agniparth protesters lodged in Chanchalguda Jail.
Earlier, Revanth Reddy had said that the Congress party would stand by the youths arrested in the Secunderabad riots case. Rahul Gandhi also tweeted the same thing.
In this context, TPCC president Revanth Reddy, Mallu Ravi, Anjankumar Yadav and Anil Kumar today visited Chanchalguda Jail and met Agnipath protesters.
Speaking to media on the occasion, Reddy alleged that the Centre has taken a decision on Agnipath without consulting any category in the society. The NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has neglected the youths while taking an important decision, he said.
“Past governments have considered soldiers protecting the country as crucial. Thousands of youths who have patriotism are recruited in the army. Special Laws were enacted to give symbolic honor to the soldiers”, the TPCC president said.
He alleged that the Modi Government has created confusion among the army aspirants about their future when they are sent back after four years service in the army.
