In the fifth and sixth sessions of the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2023 for the engineering stream, three marks have been awarded to the students. These additional marks were given in the mathematics subject due to the presence of three ambiguous questions in those sessions.
The mathematics question paper setter made a mistake, resulting in three questions that were beyond the scope of the test. To address this issue, the subject expert committee decided to grant three extra marks specifically in the mathematics subject for those who appeared in the fifth and sixth sessions. However, no additional marks were provided in mathematics for students who took the test in the first, second, third, and fourth sessions.
It is worth noting that the multiple-choice questions in the physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology subjects were deemed correct, so no extra marks were given in those subjects.
In total, 195,275 students participated in the engineering test on May 12, 13, and 14, with 80.33 percent qualifying. Similarly, for the AM stream, 106,514 students appeared on May 10 and 11, and 86.31 percent of them qualified.
