Tutored by son, father Rahmatullah clears class X exam with him after 28 years

After 28 years, 42-year-old Rahmatullah finally achieved his lifelong dream of clearing his Class X exams in his fourth attempt. He shared the achievement with his son Mohammed Farhan, who scored 98 per cent.

Rahmatullah is the resident of Mysuru. He works in a cloth merchant’s shop. According to him clearing his Class X exams was one of the happiest moments of his life because it was his father’s wish to study at least till Class X.

His three earlier attempts failed, then his son Farhan stepped up and took up the task of teaching him after he returned home from work. He managed to secure 333 marks to pass the examination. Whereas Farhan secured 613 marks (100 marks in Mathematics, Hindi and Social Science).
