Union Minister Kishan Reddy Participates in Prayer at Gurudwara Sahib in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP Telangana unit President G Kishan Reddy offered prayers at the Gurudwara Saheb in Ameerpet here on Tuesday.
During the visit, Reddy, talking to media recalled the sacrifices made by Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the sons of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. The young boys, aged 9 and 6 respectively, bravely gave their lives in defense of Dharma.
Recalling the historical context, he highlighted how the elder sons of Guru Gobind Singh also fought against the Mughal army, ultimately sacrificing their lives for righteousness.
The Union Minister said that the two younger sons of Singh were captured by Aurangzeb’s army, subjected to harassment, and forced conversion attempts from Sikhism to Islam. Despite facing adversity, the boys stood firm in their faith, refusing to renounce Sikhism.
Reddy said the nationwide programs conducted on December 25, under the auspices of the Central Department of Culture in Delhi, to celebrate the sacrifices of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.
He said that several dignitaries, including chief ministers, ministers and legislators, are visiting Gurdwaras to pay their respects.
Paying tribute to the brave boys, the Minister also highlighted the ongoing efforts such as exhibitions and educational videos to depict the struggle of Guru Gobind Singh.
He urged everyone to remember Guru Gobind Singh and his sons, who fought against foreign invaders, and encouraged a collective spirit to contribute to the country’s development.
