US woman dies after drinking ‘too much water’

A woman from the United States has tragically passed away due to consuming an excessive amount of water, according to multiple media reports. Ashley Summers, a devoted daycare worker and mother of two, lost her life during a visit to Lake Freeman with her family.

On the day of her unfortunate demise, Ashley experienced dehydration and various symptoms. Seeking relief, she initially consumed an entire 500ml water bottle. However, within a mere 20 minutes, she proceeded to drink three more bottles of the same size, totaling an impressive two liters of water.

Upon returning home later that day, Ashley collapsed in the garage. Her husband promptly rushed her to the hospital, where medical professionals discovered swelling in her brain. Subsequently, she received a diagnosis of water toxicity, a condition that arises when there is an excessive intake of water and insufficient sodium in the body.

Maintaining a proper balance of sodium and electrolytes within the body is crucial for overall health and well-being.
