Numaish witnessed a spellbinding evening as Ustad Nizam Ali Khan, a maestro of the Patiala Gharana and renowned international Ghazal and Classical singer, graced the stage along with his ensemble from the Gulistan e Ghazal Academy.

Hyderabad: The 83rd All India Industrial Exhibition famous as Numaish witnessed a spellbinding evening as Ustad Nizam Ali Khan, a maestro of the Patiala Gharana and renowned international Ghazal and Classical singer, graced the stage along with his ensemble from the Gulistan e Ghazal Academy.

The concert featured a lineup of accomplished artists, including Fareed Ali Khan, an international singer and performer, Engineer Faizan Ali Khan, a talented vocalist, Ustad Najmuddin Javed on the tabla, Joseph Bailla on the keyboard, and Dr. Sanjay Kingi showcasing his skills on the sitar.

Ustad Nizam Ali Khan, with his soul-stirring voice, captivated the audience, commencing the evening with a classical Khayal Bandish in Bageshwari. The performance continued with a classical Ghazal in Malkauns, featuring the emotive lyrics “Pyar Nahi hai sur se Jisko woh Murakh insaan nahi.” The repertoire included a diverse selection of ghazals, such as “Kaise sukoon paoon tujhe dekhne ke baad,” “Aapko dekh kar dekhta reh gaya,” “Kal chaudvin ki raat thi,” “Ghunguroo toot Gaye,” and many more from legends like Jagjit Singh, Mehdi Hasan, and Ghulam Ali.

The concert concluded on a high note with a magnificent rendition of “DamaDam Mast Qalandar.” The crowd was left in awe of the musical brilliance showcased by Ustad Nizam Ali Khan and his talented team.

The event was graced by esteemed Chief Guests Muqayyar Hyder Sahab, Cultural Head of Exhibition Society, Syed Waheed Pasha Quadri Sahab, a famous cricketer of Hyderabad, and Iftekhar Shareef Sahab, the First Overseas Citizen of India. Special Guests included Sahebzada Mir Mujtaba Ali Khan Sahab and Moiz Jung Sahab.

The evening not only celebrated the rich heritage of classical music but also showcased the cultural diversity and talent that thrives in the vibrant city of Hyderabad.
