VH cheated by caller posing as ex-minister Hari Rama Jogaiah!
The caller claimed he was severely ill and requested him to send Rs 3000/- through PhonePay to mobile phone No 9652196535 to purchase medicines.
Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former PCC president V Hanumanth Rao today said he received a phone call from a Number (7801096535) in the name of Chegondi Hari Rama Jogaiah, former minister and MP on Thursday evening.
The caller claimed he was severely ill and requested him to send Rs 3000/- through PhonePay to mobile phone No 9652196535 to purchase medicines.
Hanumanth Rao said Friday morning he sent one of his friends from Rajahmundry to Hari Rama Jogaiah’s residence with Rs 5000/-.
But his friend told him that Hari Rama Jogaiah refused to take the money saying “I did not ask any money from any one.” Shocked over this, VH realized that he was cheated by the caller, a mischief monger, in the name of Hari Rama Jogaiah.
V Haumanth Rao requested the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crimes, Hyderabad to look into the matter and take necessary action against callers from Phone Numbers 7801096535 and 96552196535.
