Video: Cylinder exploded at King’s restaurant Hyderabad

Hyderabad: One person was seriously injured when a commercial gas cylinder exploded at the King’s Restaurant in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad.

Though the cause of the blast is still unknown, District Fire Officer (DFO) Srinivas believes that the explosion occurred as the cylinder was not properly connected. Siasat.com reported.

The restaurant runs on the ground floor of a commercial complex, where other business establishments are located on the floors above the restaurant including a college where there were around 20 people when the mishap occurred. However, they were all safely evacuated.

One person received serious burn injuries, whose condition is said to be critical.

Fire control department rushed to the spot and doused the fire within minutes. However, King’s restaurant received heavy damage with walls broken and furniture gutted in fire.
