Water Supply Disruption Expected in these Areas of Hyderabad Following Leakage at Hakeempet MES

Residents of several areas in Hyderabad are bracing for water supply disruptions due to a leakage detected at Hakeempet MES in the conduit of Osman Sagar, which serves as a key source of drinking water for the city.

Hyderabad: Residents of several areas in Hyderabad are bracing for water supply disruptions due to a leakage detected at Hakeempet MES in the conduit of Osman Sagar, which serves as a key source of drinking water for the city.

According to a press release by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), repair works to address the leakage are scheduled to commence from 6 am on March 9 until midnight on March 10. During this 18-hour period, water supplies to specific areas will be temporarily disrupted.

The affected localities include Vijayanagar Colony, Humayun Nagar, Kakatiya Nagar, Syed Nagar, MES, Bazar Ghat, AC Guards, Red Hills, Income Tax area, Secretariat, CIB Quarters, Indira Nagar, BJR Colony, Advocate Colony, Hills Colony, Gokul Nagar, Nampally Railway Station, and Jangam Basti.

Additionally, disruption in water supplies is expected in Khairatabad, Mallepally, Lakdi-ka-pul, Sitarambagh, Gun Foundry, Chirag Ali lane, Abids, New MLA Quarters, LB Stadium, BRK Bhavan, Birla Mandir, Hindi Nagar, Domalguda, Gandhinagar, MLA Colony, Syednagar, Thattikhana, and Noornagar.

Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements for their water needs during this period of disruption and cooperate with the authorities to expedite the repair works and restore normal water supply as soon as possible.
