Hyderabad: A leak has been detected near Khanapur in the 1200 mm diameter PSP pipeline that provides water from Singur to Greater Hyderabad. The repair work is scheduled from 6 am on the 7th of this month until 6 am on Tuesday the 8th of this month.
During the repair period, there will be no water supply through taps in the areas covered by the reservoir, which includes Shaikpet, Toli Chowki, Golconda, Bojjagutta reservoir areas, Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsingi, Puppalaguda, Manikonda, Khanapur, Neknampur, and Manchirevula areas.
Officials from the irrigation department have advised residents in these regions to use water conservatively.
