Hyderabad: Maintenance work will lead to a 30-hour water supply disruption in certain city areas, starting from 6 am on August 19 until 12 pm on August 20, as stated by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) on Wednesday.
The purpose of this disruption is to carry out junction works for the 1,500 mm diameter MS pipeline, connecting Kalabgoor to Patancheru and from Patancheru to Hydernagar, as part of the Manjeera Water Supply Phase 2 project.
Efforts are being made by the roads and buildings department to ensure the construction work near BHEL Crossroads flyover does not obstruct these junction works.
During this period, there will be varying degrees of water supply interruption, ranging from partial to complete, affecting areas such as Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, Kukatpally Housing Board Colony, Kukatpally, Moosapet, Jagadgirigutta, Ramachandrapuram, Ashoknagar, Jyotinagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Deepthi Srinagar, Madinaguda, Miyapur, Beeramguda, and Ameenpur.
The water board’s official notice recommends that residents in the affected regions use water judiciously during this period.
