Vijayawada: The ruling YSRCP has suffered another blow on Tuesday as its Narasaraopet Lok Sabha member Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu resigned to the MP post.
The MP told the media in Narasaraopet that he has quit the YSRCP as well.
He said that he had decided to resign as MP and resign to the preliminary membership of the YSRCP. Due to some adverse political situation prevailing in the ruling party for the last some
time he has resigned as MP and quit the party.
“Uncertainty prevailed in the ruling YSRCP in AP and he is not responsible for the same. The political changes in the YSRCP caused utter embarrassment among the cadres,” Krishnadevarayalu observed.
The ruling party MP said that the YSRCP leadership wanted to field a new candidate in the ensuing elections in Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency, denying ticket to Sri Krishnadevarayalu.
The MP said that he had striven hard for the development of Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency during the last four and half years.
YSRCP sources said that the party high command asked its Narasaraopet MP Sri Krishnadevarayalu to contest from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency in the next elections instead of Narasaraopet for which he refused.
A couple of weeks ago, Mangalagiri ruling party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy resigned from the party and he joined the Congress party.
Earlier, the ruling YSRCP’s Narasapuram Lok Sabha member K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju revolted against the party three years ago.
