15 Flood Management Teams Constituted in GHMC, HMDA Limits
The teams shall inspect all the lakes and ponds allocated to them and submit their report to the government with their recommendations within two days.
Hyderabad: The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has formed 15 groups of engineers/officers to assess the conditions, including damages, breaches, and precautions or preventive measures, for 185 lakes and ponds within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.
According to Dr. Rajat Kumar, Special Chief Secretary to Irrigation and CAD, the Chief Engineer (Irrigation) Hyderabad shall allocate the areas to the groups.
The groups shall inspect all the lakes and ponds allocated to them and submit their report to the government with their recommendations within two days, and they shall also submit the daily report to the Engineer-in-Chief, Hyderabad and the Chief Engineer.
