9th Telangana State Sub Junior Badminton Championship Concludes with Thrilling Matches

Hyderabad: The 9th Telangana State Sub Junior (U-13 Years) Boys & Girls Badminton Championship came to a spectacular close on September 23, 2023, at the Railway Sports Complex in Secunderabad.
The championship, organized by the Vishwamanya Badminton Academy, witnessed intense competition and showcased exceptional talent from young badminton players across the state.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Sri G. Mallikarjuna, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Hyderabad, Sri K.S. Pradas, President of the Telangana State Chess Association, and Sri Kanuri Vamsidhar, General Secretary of the Badminton Association of Hyderabad (BAH). They were joined by all the winners of the championship for a memorable closing ceremony.
The highlight of the championship was the Girls Doubles U-13 final, where Manya Agarwal and Nithya Vijayagiri (2) from HYD emerged victorious by defeating Shruti Yetchina (MDK) and Snigdha Beeram (HYD) with a score of 21-16, 21-15.
In the Boys Doubles U-13 category, the semi-finals saw an intense battle between Bhavesh Reddy A and Krishav P (3) from HYD against Bhatraju Sai Hrishiketh and Kaligiri Durga Uday Eswar (MDK), with Bhavesh Reddy A and Krishav P securing their spot in the final with a score of 21-18, 21-19.
The Boys Doubles U-13 final was equally thrilling, with Bhavesh Reddy A and Krishav P (4) from HYD emerging as the champions after defeating B L Harshavardhan and Krishna Sethia (HYD) with a nail-biting score of 15-21, 21-18, 21-18.
In the Boys Single U-13 semi-finals, B L Harshavardhan (1) from HYD displayed his skill and determination by defeating Kaligiri Durga Uday Eswar (MDK) with a score of 21-16, 17-21, 21-17. Meanwhile, Krishav P from HYD secured his place in the final by defeating S Sri Chetan Shouwrya (WGL) with a score of 21-18, 21-12.
The Boys Single U-13 final witnessed an impressive performance by B L Harshavardhan (1) from HYD, who claimed the title by defeating Krishav P from HYD with a score of 21-9, 21-15.
In the Girls Single U-13 category, the semi-finals saw intense matches, with Chadaram Hamsini (1) from RR defeating Manya Agarwal from HYD with a score of 21-17, 21-18. Meanwhile, Shruti Yetchina (MDK) secured her spot in the final by defeating Nitya Vijayagiri (4) from HYD with a score of 21-19, 21-11.
In the Girls Single U-13 final, Chadaram Hamsini (1) from RR emerged victorious by defeating Shruti Yetchina (MDK) with a score of 21-18, 21-9.
