HYDRAA Action in Sangareddy and Rangareddy: Fencing at Tella Cheruvu, Encroachments Removed at Shabari Hills Layout

HYDRAA carried out major action at Tella Cheruvu in Sangareddy by fencing the FTL area and removing obstructions, while also clearing road encroachments at Shabari Hills Layout in Rangareddy.

Hyderabad: HYDRAA intensified its action against encroachments and illegal land alterations in Sangareddy and Rangareddy districts, acting on public complaints received through Prajavani. In a major move, HYDRAA carried out fencing and restoration works at Tella Cheruvu in Ramachandrapuram mandal, while also removing road encroachments at Shabari Hills Layout in Abdullapurmet mandal, bringing relief to residents.

HYDRAA Action at Tella Cheruvu, TellaPur

HYDRAA officials took up large-scale action at Tella Cheruvu, located in Tellapur under Ramachandrapuram Mandal.

Key actions taken:

  • Fencing installed in the Full Tank Level (FTL) area
  • Illegal soil-filled portions secured
  • Walls blocking natural water flow into the lake removed
  • Around 40 acres to be fenced to protect the lake boundary

HYDRAA entered the field after a public complaint in Prajavani and conducted a ground-level inspection, confirming that:

  • Thousands of lorry loads of soil and boulders were dumped
  • Land within the FTL was altered instead of being used for cultivation
  • The natural structure of the lake was disturbed

Officials made it clear that farming activities are allowed, but changing land nature by filling soil is illegal. HYDRAA announced that criminal cases will be filed against those who dumped soil in the lake, while fencing is being done carefully without affecting agricultural activities.

Road Encroachments Removed at Shabari Hills Layout

In another significant operation, HYDRAA removed road encroachments at Shabari Hills Layout in Pedamberpet, under Abdullapurmet Mandal.

Details of the case:

  • Shabari Hills Layout consists of 278 plots in Survey No. 265
  • A person owning one acre in Survey No. 346 illegally encroached into the layout
  • Around 20 plots and internal roads were blocked
  • The encroacher claimed a nala passed through his land and constructed compound walls

Following complaints from plot owners, HYDRAA:

  • Conducted an AD survey in the presence of both parties
  • Confirmed encroachment of nearly 4,000 square yards
  • Removed compound walls obstructing layout roads

With the removal of illegal structures, access roads were restored, and Shabari Hills layout residents expressed relief after months of difficulty.

Strict Warning from HYDRAA

HYDRAA reiterated that:

  • Lake FTL areas must not be altered
  • Roads and layouts cannot be encroached under any pretext
  • Strict legal action will follow violations

Through firm action at Tella Cheruvu in Sangareddy and Shabari Hills Layout in Rangareddy, HYDRAA has sent a strong message that encroachments and illegal land alterations will not be tolerated.
