Residents from multiple areas alleged that roads are being blocked with gates, fencing, and illegal constructions, creating serious inconvenience. The complaints are currently under review and action has been assigned to concerned officials.

Residents Allege Roads Blocked by Gates and Fencing

Several complainants stated that:

  • Even though colonies are not gated communities, gates have been installed
  • Compound walls and fencing have been constructed across roads
  • These actions are blocking access and affecting public movement

Key Complaints from Different Areas

Kapra Municipality – Overseas Bank Colony, Keesara Mandal

Residents from Sri Padmarao Nagar Colony complained that:

  • Overseas Bank Colony in Kapra Municipality under Keesara Mandal is not a gated community
  • However, fencing and gates have been installed, blocking access
  • This has affected connectivity to four colonies

Suraram Village, Qutbullapur Mandal

Residents of Siddhi Vinayaka Nagar stated that:

  • A 30-feet road has been encroached
  • The road connecting to Narsapur Main Road is now blocked

Nacharam – Survey Nos. 157 and 162

Residents alleged that:

  • In a layout in Nacharam (Survey Nos. 157 and 162)
  • A plot originally measuring 416 square yards was expanded to 639 square yards
  • The expansion was done by encroaching on the adjacent road
  • Rooms were constructed and rented out
  • Residents demanded protection of the road space

Jeedimetla Division – S.R. Naik Nagar Colony

Colony representatives said:

  • A layout was formed in 1984 under S.R. Naik Nagar Colony
  • Around 11,000 square yards were allocated for park and public use
  • The land is now under encroachment threat

Shaikpet Mandal – Road No. 2

Locals complained that:

  • In Survey No. 129/11, Road No. 2, Shaikpet Mandal
  • About 7 acres of government land has been encroached
  • Illegal constructions are being carried out

HYDRAA Officials Review Complaints

A total of 43 complaints were received at HYDRAA Prajavani on Monday.

  • Assigned responsibility for resolution to concerned officials
