Hyderabad: HYDRAA has protected 5 acres of government land in Khanamet Village of Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, after receiving a complaint from the Revenue Department regarding alleged encroachment attempts. The valuable government land, located in Survey No. 42 on the route from Metal Charminar to HITEX Exhibition Center in Hyderabad’s IT Corridor, is estimated to be worth nearly Rs 1,000 crore. HYDRAA removed encroachments, demolished unauthorized structures, and installed fencing around the entire 5-acre property.

The action was taken following a complaint from Revenue officials and a request from Serilingampally Revenue authorities to protect the government land.

Encroachment Attempt Reported on Valuable Government Land

According to officials, some individuals allegedly attempted to occupy the highly valuable government land situated in Survey No. 42.

As part of the alleged encroachment:

  • Two temporary sheds were erected.
  • One room was constructed.
  • Work had begun on building a boundary enclosure using metal sheet fencing around the entire 5-acre land parcel.

The Revenue Department subsequently alerted HYDRAA regarding the situation.

Revenue Officials Seek HYDRAA Intervention

Officials stated that for several years, a person had allegedly been claiming ownership of the land and preventing others from entering the property.

Following concerns raised by Serilingampally Revenue authorities, HYDRAA intervened to protect the government land and remove the alleged encroachments.

HYDRAA Removes Sheds, Room and Unauthorized Fencing

Acting on the complaint, HYDRAA carried out enforcement operations at the site.

The agency removed:

  • Two temporary sheds.
  • One constructed room.
  • The fencing that had been erected around the land.

After clearing all encroachments, HYDRAA secured the property to prevent future occupation attempts.

Fencing Installed Around 5 Acres of Government Land

After removing the encroachments, HYDRAA installed fencing around the entire 5-acre government land parcel.

The agency also erected HYDRAA boards identifying the property as government land.

Officials stated that the measure was taken to safeguard the land from future encroachment attempts.

Land Estimated to Be Worth Rs 1,000 Crore

The protected land is located in a prime area of Hyderabad’s IT Corridor between Metal Charminar and HITEX Exhibition Center.

According to estimates cited by officials, the value of the 5-acre government land is approximately Rs 1,000 crore, making it one of the most valuable government properties protected by HYDRAA in the area.
