Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 312 drunk driving cases during a two-day special drive held on July 3 and 4, 2026. Police said zero tolerance against drunken driving will continue.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a two-day special drive against drunken driving on 03-07-2026 and 04-07-2026, booking a total of 312 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol. The drive was carried out to ensure road safety. The police said there will be zero tolerance towards drunk driving violations and confirmed that the special enforcement drive will continue.

Breakdown of Drunk Driving Cases

During the special drive, police booked a total of 312 cases.

The category-wise breakup is as follows:

  • Two-wheeler riders: 245
  • Three-wheeler drivers: 35
  • Four-wheeler drivers: 32
  • Other vehicle drivers: 0

Hyderabad Traffic Police Announces Zero Tolerance

The Hyderabad Traffic Police stated that there will be zero tolerance for drunk driving violations.

The press note was issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 312 drunk driving cases during a two-day special drive conducted on 03-07-2026 and 04-07-2026. Among those caught were 245 two-wheeler riders, 35 three-wheeler drivers, and 32 four-wheeler drivers, while no other vehicle drivers were booked. Police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against drunk driving and confirmed that such special enforcement drives will continue to improve road safety.
