Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday evening arrested DSP Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, posted at Police Computer Services (PCS), Hyderabad, in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case after completing searches at multiple locations linked to him. According to the ACB, assets worth nearly ₹300 crore were seized during the searches. The officer was arrested at 7:40 p.m. from his residence at Vessella Meadows, Ibrahimbagh, and is expected to be produced before the designated ACB court. Further investigation is underway.

Hyderabad DSP Arrested in Disproportionate Assets Case
According to the ACB, DSP Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, who is serving in Police Computer Services (PCS), Hyderabad, was arrested in connection with a Disproportionate Assets case registered against him.
The DSP was arrested at about 7:40 p.m. on Monday evening from his residence at Vessella Meadows, Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad.
The ACB alleged that during his service, he acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means.
He is expected to be produced before the designated ACB Court.
Simultaneous Searches Conducted Across Telangana and Karnataka
The arrest followed simultaneous searches conducted by the ACB at the officer’s residence and 15 other premises linked to his relatives, friends, alleged benamidars, and associates across Telangana and Karnataka.
According to the ACB, the searches led to the discovery of several movable and immovable assets.
Properties Identified During the Searches
The ACB listed the following properties linked to the accused officer:
- One villa at Vessella Meadows, Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad.
- One G+2+Pent House residential building at Telecom Nagar.
- One flat in Sai Prabha Residency, Telecom Nagar.
- One flat in Kranti Ceon Apartments, Gachibowli.
- Share in a G+5 Commercial Complex measuring 500 square yards on Lanco Hills Road, Manikonda.
- One commercial space measuring 3,000 sq. ft. near Manikonda Marrichettu Junction.
- Two residential flats in Abhinanda Residency, Tellapur.
- One 500-square-yard open plot at Pragathi Resorts.
- 3.5 acres of agricultural land at Zaheerabad, Sangareddy.
- 6 acres of agricultural land in Karnataka.
- Another 38 acres of agricultural land in Karnataka.
- 1 acre of land at Devanahalli, Bengaluru.
- One 200-square-yard open plot near Kamineni Hospital, Nagole.
- One 400-square-yard open plot near GPR Housing Society, Patancheru.
- One 200-square-yard open plot at Patancheru.
- One parcel of land measuring 1,000 square yards at Mominpet, Vikarabad.
- 2 acres of agricultural land at Mominpet, Vikarabad.
- Investment of ₹75,00,000 in M/s Sri Raghavendra Rock Sand Minerals.
- Agricultural land measuring 4.20 acres at Muchintala village, CC Kunta.
Cash, Gold, Silver and Bank Deposits Recovered
During the searches, the ACB also recovered:
- Approximately ₹3.60 lakh in cash from the accused officer’s house.
- ₹40 lakh in cash from the house of his alleged benami.
- Gold ornaments weighing about 2 kilograms.
- Silver articles weighing about 20 kilograms.
- Bank balances of approximately ₹19.91 lakh.
The ACB stated that the market value of the immovable properties may be many times higher than their documented value.
ACB Continues Investigation
According to the ACB, the officer allegedly amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income through corrupt practices during his service.
The agency said further investigation is underway.
