Hyderabad: BRS MLA and former Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari has demanded that the Telangana government cancel Government Order (GO) 97 and merge polytechnic education with engineering education.
Srihari said the order has created confusion among polytechnic students and could affect their academic and career prospects.
“As a former Education Minister, I demand that GO 97 be cancelled and polytechnics be merged with engineering education,” Srihari said.
He further urged the government to ensure that polytechnic students continue their education within the technical education system. According to him, this would provide greater clarity and assurance regarding the future of students.
Srihari said the government should take immediate steps to remove the uncertainty surrounding polytechnic education and safeguard the academic interests of students.
