The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) declared a suspension of all matches “until further notice” in solidarity with the Palestinian people. This decision stems from their support for Palestinians and in tribute to those affected by recent events in the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, Algeria has offered to host official and unofficial matches for the Palestinian national football team, covering related expenses, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2027 Asian Cup. Consequently, the World Cup qualifier between Palestine and Australia on November 21 will be held in Algeria.
