‘Baba’ rapes 3-month-old bride under the guise of spiritual treatment in Old City of Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An appalling incident involving the alleged rape of a three-month-old bride under the guise of spiritual treatment has occurred in Hyderabad’s old city.

Authorities are actively seeking a fake Baba. The victim, a resident of Hussaini Alam, had married a young man from Talab Katta area three months prior. Concerned about her post-marriage health, her in-laws referred her to a fraudulent spiritual practitioner named Mazhar Khan, residing in the Bandlaguda area. This imposter purportedly raped her under the pretense of a ritual. The victim shared her ordeal with her in-laws, but they disregarded her.

Upon returning her natal home, the victim confided in her parents, who then filed a complaint at the Bhavani Nagar police station. The case was subsequently transferred to the Bandlaguda Police Station for investigation.

The police are searching for Mazhar Baba, who managed to evade capture and is reportedly on the run in Maharashtra.
