CM Revanth orders comprehensive inquiry into ORR lease tender contract
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered the officials to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into irregularities in Outer Ring Road lease tender contract.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered the officials to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into irregularities in Outer Ring Road lease tender contract.
The instructions have been given to Hyderabad Metro Development Authority (HMDA) Joint Commissioner Amra Pali to submit complete details in this regard immediately.
The Outer Ring Road was handed over to a Mumbai based IRB Infra for a period of 30 years for the toll collection and maintenance by the previous BRS government.
When Revanth Reddy was the Opposition leader, he alleged that it was a big scam and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son and former minister KT Rama Rao received kick bags in the finalisation of the ORR tenders to the IRB Infra, asking the cancelation of tenders.
Now, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has decided to handover the alleged toll scam to CBI or another investigative agency of similar level.
Meanwhile, the State government is also planning to file criminal cases against responsible officials.
