Delhi government stable: Kejriwal

On Thursday, a meeting of all AAP MLAs was called at Kejriwal’s residence. Fiftry-three out of 62 MLAs were present and the rest were available over telephone.

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said the Delhi government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was stable and that “Operation Lotus” aimed at toppling it has failed.

On Thursday, a meeting of all AAP MLAs was called at Kejriwal’s residence. Fiftry-three out of 62 MLAs were present and the rest were available over telephone.

Kejriwal alleged that “they” have set aside Rs 800 crores to bring down the Delhi government.

Kejriwal tweeted: “They have kept Rs 800 crores to bring down the Delhi government — Rs 20 crores per MLA, want to break 40 MLAs. The country wants to know. Whose are these Rs 800 crores? Where are they kept?

“None of our MLA is breaking. The government is stable. All the good work going on in Delhi will continue.”

AAP MLA and spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said this meeting of MLAs proved that the Kejriwal government was stable.

AAP tweeted from its official twitter handle and wrote, “BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ was done by @ArvindKejriwal ji FAIL! All AAP MLAs said – We are with Kejriwal ji till our last breath. BJP wanted to break 40 MLAs by giving 20-20 crore. Where did the black money of 800 crores come from them?

“Will the CBI-ED probe it?”

In the second tweet in Hindi, AAP wrote: “The testimony of MLA in court is considered evidence. When the time comes, such evidence will be placed in front of the country that the ground will slip from under the feet of BJP leaders.”

AAP MP Sanjay Singh tweeted and demanded that this matter should be investigated by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation.

In its tweet, AAP wrote: “Modus Operandi of BJP to break MLA – Any MLA who has to be broken is told that all the other MLAs have come, only you are left. In the same way, BJP today spread the news that today many AAP MLAs will not attend the meeting which proved to be wrong.”
