Hyderabad: BRS, having gained a significant advantage in implementing electoral strategies ahead of its competitors, is now swiftly deploying its ultimate weapon.
Under the leadership of BRS leader K Chandrashekar Rao, the state government has announced the distribution of double-bedroom houses within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area, covering 24 Assembly segments.
The initial phase will see the distribution of 11,700 houses to beneficiaries in Hyderabad, commencing on 2 September. Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao will oversee the distribution of 1,700 2BHK ‘Dignity’ houses at Bahadurpally in the Quthbullapur constituency, while other ministers, the mayor, and the deputy mayor will handle distributions in their respective constituencies.
Highlighting the fairness of beneficiary selection, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, a native of Hyderabad, confirmed that names were chosen through impartial and transparent lotteries.
Initially, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had announced on Independence Day that approximately one lakh houses would be distributed in phases to Hyderabad and its environs. However, the complex process of finalizing beneficiaries caused a delay.
