E-visa issuance begins as Umrah season starts

JEDDAH: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the commencement of the Umrah season with the initiation of electronic visa issuance. Starting from the first day of Muharram on July 19, Umrah pilgrims and worshipers can now arrive in the Kingdom.

To facilitate this process, the ministry has introduced the Nusuk platform for the submission of e-visa applications. The objective is to enhance the quality of services provided to worshipers and simplify their entry into the Kingdom.

The Nusuk platform, renowned for its efficiency in welcoming Muslims to Makkah and Madinah, will be utilized by the ministry for the processing of electronic visa applications. Through this platform, individuals worldwide can conveniently apply for e-visas and access various services such as accommodation, transportation, and residency options.

Moreover, the platform offers informative resources and interactive maps in multiple languages, available at all times and presented in a user-friendly manner.

In collaboration with relevant authorities, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has previously announced that Muslims holding tourism visas from Cooperation Council Countries, as well as those with entry visas to Schengen countries, the US, and the UK, can utilize the Nusuk application to make reservations for Umrah and visit Al-Rawdah in Madinah before their arrival in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the ministry extends its services to visa holders, including those with family and transit visas, allowing them to perform Umrah rituals using the Nusuk application.

The Umrah visa can now be obtained within 24 hours, and its duration has been extended from 30 to 90 days. Additionally, there are no health requirements for obtaining the visa, and women are not obligated to be accompanied by a male guardian.

These modifications enable visitors to freely explore the Kingdom, enriching their religious and cultural experiences.
