Free Dialysis to HIV/Aids & Hepatitis Patients

Exclusive dialysis centres for such patients will be established in the coming days at Hyderabad and Warangal.

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare and Finance, T. Harish Rao informed that the State government has decided to launch free dialysis services to HIV/AIDS and hepatitis patients in Telangana. 

Exclusive dialysis centres for such patients will be established in the coming days at Hyderabad and Warangal.

The Minister held a review meeting with the Secretary to Medical and Health, SAM Rizvi and other senior officials, today, and directed the health department to make arrangements to set up five beds each equipped with dialysis equipment for HIV/AIDS and hepatitis patients in Hyderabad and Warangal. 

In Hyderabad such a facility is expected to come up either at Gandhi Hospital, Osmania General Hospital or NIMS, where the health department already operates free dialysis facilities for chronic kidney patients.  The Minister wants to set up the two facilities at the earliest.
