Gambling Dens Flourish near Raja Singh’s Assembly Residence, Police Remain Silent?

Reports have emerged of rampant gambling and betting activities near the assembly residence of Raja Singh in the Gosh Mahal area.

Hyderabad: Reports have emerged of rampant gambling and betting activities near the assembly residence of Raja Singh in the Gosh Mahal area. According to credible sources, a large-scale gambling den operates during the day in the vicinity of the assembly member’s residence, while another establishment hosts betting activities during the night.

It has been disclosed that three individuals involved in the gambling and betting businesses are also supporters of the assembly member. The local police, including Mangal Hat Police, are reportedly aware of these activities but have chosen to remain silent spectators.

Mangal Hat was previously renowned for its fair but now serves as a hub for illicit substances, including opioids, and other contraband items. Gambling activities are conducted at various locations in Mangal Hat, Kalsoom Pura, and Begum Bazaar.

It is evident that apart from the City Police’s Task Force, the local police are well-informed about the situation. When questioned about the whereabouts of gambling houses and massage centers, a police informant confidently asserted that the police are well aware of all such establishments.

Whenever we mention that gambling is taking place, the police response is that they are aware of it elsewhere, not here. There is a growing sense among the public that the laxity of the police has allowed gambling dens to thrive in the city.
