Berlin: A 62-year-old citizen’s case in Germany has baffled all medical experts. Despite not being infected with coronavirus, this citizen has received a total of 217 coronavirus vaccine shots.
According to reports in the Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, it was revealed that coronavirus vaccine shots were procured for this citizen, and within a span of 29 months, he received 217 doses.
Researchers at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany were further surprised by the fact that despite receiving such a heavy dose of the vaccine, the individual did not experience any adverse effects.
Dr. Kilian Schober from the university’s Department of Microbiology stated that they became aware of this shocking case through the newspapers. They immediately contacted the individual and invited him to undergo various tests at the University of Erlangen to determine whether there were any harmful effects of receiving such a large quantity of the vaccine.
Dr. Schober explained that they used samples of the individual’s blood and saliva to determine the immune system’s response to vaccination because they were concerned that receiving such a large quantity of the vaccine could overactivate the immune system, causing severe damage to some cells.
However, researchers found no evidence of any adverse effects in the 62-year-old citizen. Furthermore, there were no symptoms indicating that he had ever been infected with the coronavirus.
