GHMC chief for Action Plan on ward-level sanitation
Speaking on the occasion, the GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose directed the officials to include in the ward level sanitation plan whichever measures should be taken from the primary level to the dump yard.
Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Ross today directed officials to prepare an action plan on ward-level sanitation within a week.
Following an inspection of the works of SNDP and multi-purpose function hall in Secunderabad zonal limits on Thursday, the Commissioner reviewed the status of sanitation at the Secunderabad Zonal Office with additional commissioner of sanitation, zonal commissioner, DCs and AMHOs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner directed the officials to include in the ward level sanitation plan whichever measures should be taken from the primary level to the dump yard.
He added that the construction waste, sweeping, lifting and transport instead of garbage collection should be included in the ward level plan.
He also asked the officials to prepare a plan for garbage collection from door to door and other issues on the Swachh Auto Day.
Earlier, the commissioner inspected the completed bridges under SNDP on the Ministers’ Road at Karachi Bakery. Similarly, Dhaniyala gutta grave yard, Patigadda multi-purpose function hall and Bansilalpet stairwell were also inspected.
Additional Commissioner of Sanitation Upender Reddy, Secunderabad Zonal Commissioner Ravi Kiran, Deputy Commissioners, AMHOs and others participated in the review meeting.
