Govt is Committed to Reconstruct Demolished Mosques of Secretariat: KTR
KTR has assured on the floor of the House stating that the Government is committed to the reconstruction of demolished mosques of Secretariat.
Hyderabad: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT and Industries, K. Tarak Rama Rao has assured on the floor of the House stating that the Government is committed to the reconstruction of demolished mosques of Secretariat and also for the reconstruction of the demolished temple along with the Church in the construction of new secretariat building.
The Minister was giving clarification on the questions raised by the MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, Congress floor leader Bhatti Vikaramarka and BJP Member Raja Singh on the short discussion of “Welfare of Minorities in the State and Developmental Activities in the Old City of Hyderabad, today, the Minister has admitted that it has caused a delay in laying the foundation for the Mosques and other religious places in the Secretariat premises and it could lay the foundation on the date announced because of the pandemic and other reasons, but the government is committed for the reconstruction and added soon the date of laying the foundation will be announced and assured that for all the three religious places foundation laying ceremony will be held in a single day for which suitable time (Muhuratham) will be announced, he said.
On the other question raised by Akbaruddin Owaisi on the expansion of Lal Darwaza Mahankali temple, renovation of Afzalgunj mosque, construction of Kalyana Mandapam in Shivaji Nagar Temple in his constituency for which Akbaruddin Owaisi assured to provide 2000 yards land in his constituency, the Minister said with regard to Lal Darwaza Mandir expansion, 5 properties are required for the acquisition in this one property owner is willing to leave while the 4 others are reluctant, on this Akbaruddin Owaisi has assured that he will intervene and speak with the property owners along with the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Talasani Srinivas Yadav both will take up the issue and settle it, the Minister said that the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs. 10 crores for the expansion of this temple. Similarly for the renovation of Afzal Gunj mosque Rs. 3 crores have been sanctioned, the works will commence soon. The Minister has praised Akbaruddin Owaisi for providing 2000 sq. yards of land for the Construction of Kalyana Mandapam in Shivaji Nagar Temple and assured that the government will take up the work.
The Minister has assured that in the second phase of MMTS the project will be extended from Falaknuma to Shamshabad, however, he said that he will speak with the Chief Minister for the allocation of budget for the project, he has also assured of the setting of Registration office and RTA office in Bandlaguda, a football stadium at Falaknume.
Raja Singh has given the letter to the Minister on the floor of the House with regard to the cleaning of Moosi River and reconstruction of Osmania Hospital which is now in dilapidated condition, he said Osmania Hospital which is in his Constituency is much useful to the people of Old City, as the poor people of the Old city is solely dependent on Osmania Hospital, he said that who has opposed the reconstruction of Osmania Hospital, he does not know, who are opposing the Hyderabad Metro Rail in Old City, he does not know, he said these are important for the old city people as well as taking up of rehabilitation of Dhoolpet people who have left illicit liquor sale, the Minister has asked Raja Singh to meet, he said, the government never show partiality to the segment where the Opposition members have been elected, hence there is no need for giving resignation.
The Minister said, the since the Formation of Telangana State, in 7 years, the government has spent Rs. 14,887 crores in the 8 Constituencies of Old City in which Raja Singh Constituency is one among them. He said the works of the Charminar Pedestrianisation project is going on, so far 33 crores has been spent for the beautification of the Historic Charminar. If need the government will spend more Rs. 100 to 150 crores, he said road widening programme, electricity works, construction of double bedroom houses, provided Swatch Auto trippers.
The Minister has assured to revive the function of the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority and will assign all the work related to Old city under SRDP, Housing Scheme, cleaning of Nalas, improving drinking water and drainage system, etc. and will also provide sufficient funds for the function of the Authority.
As the small street vendors have lost their livelihood due to coronavirus pandemic, the government has identified about 35,000 pity vendors for them the government will provide Rs. 10,000 interest-free loan.
Akbaruddin Owaisi expressed happiness that for the first time in his political career, the discussion of Old City has come in the Assembly, the Minister said that the government has come forward to discuss because it has done the work in its 7 years rules for the Old city, it need that the people should know what the work has been done by the government after the formation of Telangana state.
However, the Minister said that he would hold the City MLAs meeting on Oct 6 and will discuss in details on the development of Hyderabad city, though Congress party has no members in the City, he asked the Congress floor leader Bhatti Vikaramarka to attend the meeting. (Munsif News)
