Hanumakonda | Collector Spends Night at School, Engages with Students in Various Activities

Hanumakonda: In the Kamalapur mandal center of Hanumakonda district, District Collector P. Praveen Kumar spent Thursday night at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Gurukula School and College for Girls, which is dedicated to the welfare of backward classes.
On Friday morning, he joined the students for a morning run, warm-up exercises, and meditation in the school grounds. Later, the Collector played volleyball and shuttle with the students, boosting their enthusiasm.

During breakfast, he shared a traditional meal of ragi java and snacks with the students. Additionally, the Collector inspected the dining hall registers, food menu, medical, and other records.
Speaking to local media representatives, the Collector emphasized that the overnight stay was part of his direct supervision of the students’ daily routines, the facilities provided, and the quality of meals served to them.
During his visit, he interacted with the students, inquired about their accommodation, meals, books, and clothing, and ensured that the menu and living conditions were satisfactory.
The students reported receiving quality food, and the education system was said to be very good.
When the Collector asked if the school needed anything, the students mentioned the need for benches and the repair of the compound wall.
The Collector assured them that he would address these issues and requested the principal to send a proposal.
The event was attended by Tehsildar Suresh Kumar, Principal Sujanya, Physical Director Krishnaveni, PET Sangeeta, teachers, and students.
