Hindu activist and Trinamool Congress (TMC) member Saket Gokhale has filed a police complaint against BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for blasphemy against Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings be upon him) and Quran. The complaint has been filed with Chanakyapuri PS against Nupur Sharma for making inflammatory & false comments on Holy Quran & Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) during a show on Times Now.
Sharing the copy of the complaint on twitter, Gokhale writes, “Complaint has been filed with Chanakyapuri PS of Delhi Police against BJP’s NupurSharmaBJP for making extremely inflammatory & false comments on Holy Quran & Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) during a show on Times Now. Clear attempt to incite communal disharmony & she must be arrested.
Demanding Nupur Sharma’s arrest, Gokhale claimed that her comments were clear attempt to incite communal disharmony.
The video clipping of Nupur Sharma’s comment against the Holy Prophet of Islam and Holy book of Muslims was earlier shared by Mohammed Zubair, co-founder AltNews.
He shared the video stating, “Prime Time debates in India have become a platform to encourage hate mongers to speak ill about other religions. @TimesNow’s Anchor @navikakumar is encouraging a rabid communal hatemonger & a BJP Spokesperson to speak rubbish which can incite riots. Shame on you @vineetjaintimes
In the complaint, Gokhale claimed, “In a panel discussion on the TV channel Times Now, Nupur Sharma made provocative statements on Islam by mocking the Holy Quran and stating disgusting falsehoods about Prophet Mohammed which can lead to a massive law and order situation and promote feelings of enmity between communities and disturb communal harmony.”
