The Income Tax Department, Hyderabad, emerged triumphant in the highly competitive 4th Edition of the Telugu-Oriented States Basketball Tournament held in Uttanoor, Gadwal district, from February 15th to 18th.

Hyderabad: The Income Tax Department, Hyderabad, emerged triumphant in the highly competitive 4th Edition of the Telugu-Oriented States Basketball Tournament held in Uttanoor, Gadwal district, from February 15th to 18th.

The tournament, which witnessed the participation of 12 men’s teams, showcased intense matches and remarkable displays of skill and athleticism.

In the first semi-final, the Income Tax Department outperformed Central GST with a final score of 79-72, securing their spot in the finals. Meanwhile, DBA dominated Chittoor District with an impressive score of 76-27 in the second semi-final to secure their place in the championship match.

The final showdown between the Income Tax Department and Dream Basketball Academy was a thrilling encounter. The Income Tax Department exhibited outstanding teamwork and determination, ultimately defeating Dream Basketball Academy with a final score of 92-72.

Key players from the Income Tax Department, including Ganesh Patil with 29 points, Visu with 21 points, and Basha with 13 points, delivered stellar performances throughout the tournament. Dream Basketball Academy’s standout players, Prudhvi with 25 points and Dinesh with 23 points, also showcased their skills on the court.

In a ceremony filled with pride and jubilation, Sri. S.A. Sampath Kumar, AICC Secretary, had the honor of presenting the winners’ trophy to the Income Tax Department team from Hyderabad during the closing ceremony. The team’s coach, Amruth Raj, along with other members, were also present to celebrate their hard-earned victory.

The 4th Edition of the Telugu-Oriented States Basketball Tournament not only provided a platform for fierce competition but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among participants and spectators alike.
