Hyderabad: Arsanapalli Jagan Mohan Rao and his panel members have filed nominations to contest for the post of president in Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections. Jagan Mohan Rao announced the name of his panel after submitting nominations at the Uppal Stadium on Friday morning.
The United Members of HCA panel includes Jagan Mohan Rao as president, P Sridhar as vice-president and R Sudhakar as general secretary. Former cricketer Noel David is contesting as assistant secretary, C J Srinivas as treasurer and Ansar Ahmed Khan as councilor in the elections.
Jagan Mohan Rao, who worked for the development of the sport with his leadership qualities by putting an end to group politics, irregularities and corruption in the National Handball Association, is now in the fray for the HCA elections for the advancement of cricket.
With HCA embroiled in controversies and court cases, it is learnt that Jagan Mohan Rao, who has already made a name for himself in the country’s sports sector, has been fielded by key leaders of the BRS party to put the association on the track.
