Dy CM inaugurates solar power plant in Kothagudem

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated a 10.5-megawatt solar power plant set up by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) at Ramavaram in Kothagudem on Sunday.

Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, MLAs Sambasiva Rao, Ramdas Nayak, Koram Kanakaiah, Matta Ragamayee and Payam Venkateshwarlu, District Collector Priyanka Ala, SCCL MD Balaram, Bhadradri ZP Chairman Chandra Shekhar Rao, INTUC and other labour union leaders were present.            

The 10.5 MW solar power plant will generate 16 million units of electricity annually. The plant has been set up in 48 acres of land with the cost of Rs.56.76 crores. There are a total of 34,478 solar panels and the capacity of each solar panel is 335 watts.
