A fresh development has emerged in the sensational Advocate Khwaja Moezuddin murder case in Hyderabad. During the hearing of the bail petition filed by the main accused, Mehboob Alam Khan, complainant Advocate Mohammed Farhanuddin filed an intervention petition before the court and strongly opposed the grant of bail. The Nampally Criminal Court has deferred the hearing on the bail application until June 30, after hearing the preliminary arguments.

Complainant Seeks Permission to Oppose Bail
According to the case proceedings, the bail petition of Mehboob Alam Khan came up for hearing before the Nampally Criminal Court.
Appearing on behalf of the victim’s family, Dr. V. Raghunath and complainant Mohammed Farhanuddin requested the court to allow them to participate in the bail proceedings and present their objections before any decision is taken on the bail plea.
Complainant Says Bail May Influence Evidence and Witnesses
The complainant’s counsel argued before the court that if the accused is granted bail at this stage, there is a possibility that he may attempt to influence the evidence or intimidate witnesses.
The complainant requested the court to examine all facts and circumstances carefully before passing any order on the bail application.
Court Defers Bail Hearing to June 30
After hearing the preliminary submissions, the court decided not to pass an immediate order on the bail petition.
Instead, the Nampally Criminal Court adjourned the matter to June 30. During the next hearing, the court will first consider the intervention petition filed by the complainant and thereafter decide the bail application of the accused.
Background of the Khwaja Moezuddin Murder Case
It may be recalled that on May 23, noted advocate Khwaja Moezuddin was allegedly killed after being hit by a speeding SUV in the Mansab Tank area of Hyderabad.
According to the police, the preliminary investigation indicates that the incident was a pre-planned conspiracy. Police stated that the alleged motive was a long-running legal dispute relating to Waqf properties.
In this case, Mehboob Alam Khan, his son Mujahid Alam Khan, and several other accused have already been arrested.
Police have also claimed that the murder was allegedly carried out on a supari (contract killing) basis and that important evidence has been recovered during the investigation.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
