Hyderabad: Alongside the swearing-in of Revanth Reddy, ministers of Telangana cabinet took the oath of office. The inclusion of ministers based on social justice was advocated in Revanth Reddy’s cabinet.

Three ministers in his cabinet belong to the Reddy community. Two ministers are from the SC community, with one from the Velama and another from the Kamma sub-castes. Notably, there is no representation of ST and Muslim community members in the cabinet.

Congress had fielded Muslim candidates Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Mohammed Azharuddin, and Feroz Khan in the assembly elections, all of whom faced defeat. There is a possibility of cabinet expansion in the coming days, and hopes are being expressed that a Muslim leader may be included in the cabinet.

In the cabinet, alongside Reddy community ministers Revanth Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, there are also members from the SC community – Bhatti Vikramarka, Damodar Rajanarasimha, and Dhanasari Anasuya.

Additionally, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is representing the BC community. From the Brahmin community, D. Sridhar Babu, from the Velama community, Jupally Krishna Rao, and from the Kamma community, T. Nagi Reddy, have been included in the cabinet.

On the other hand, Revanth Reddy is taking charge as the Chief Minister for the first time. Besides him, Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dhanasari Anasuya, and Ponnam Prabhakar have become ministers for the first time.

Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, and Jupally Krishna Rao have experience serving as ministers in the government of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Redd in United Andhra Pradesh.
