Mahesh Kumar Goud, Balmoor Venkat file nominations as Congress MLC candidates

TPCC Working President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud and NSUI State president Balmoor Venkat Narsing Rao filed their nominations as Congress MLC candidates under the MLA quota at the Assembly here on Thursday.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud and NSUI State president Balmoor Venkat Narsing Rao filed their nominations as Congress MLC candidates under the MLA quota at the Assembly here on Thursday.

With only two candidates filing nominations for both seats, the election of Mahesh Kumar Goud and Balmoor Venkat is likely to be unanimous and they are now waiting for an official announcement.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jupalli Krishna Rao, Tummala Nageswara Rao and other Congress leaders accompanied Mahesh Kumar Goud and Balmoor Venkat at the time of filing nominations.

Speaking to the media on the premises of Assembly after completing the process of filing nominations, Minister for Irrigation Uttam Kumar Reddy said that those who have worked hard in the Congress party would get recognition and Mahesh Goud and Balmoor Venkat got an opportunity as MLC candidates for their hard work.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also found fault with the statement of BRS Working President KT Rama Rao who said that he would fight for the rights of Sarpanches and said that the previous BRS government had stopped clearing the pending bills of sarpanchs.
