Hyderabad: Social media reels posted by MLA Majid Hussain related to last night’s incident involving a plywood lorry and Gau Rakshaks in Hyderabad were reportedly removed or restricted in India following Government of India law enforcement action. The reels had gone viral across Instagram before users began receiving a message stating that the content was “not available in India.”

According to screenshots shared by Majid Hussain on his Instagram story, the restriction notice stated:
“We restricted access to your content in India pursuant to a notice from The Government of India / Law Enforcement under Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.”
Plywood Lorry Incident Triggered Tension in Hyderabad
According to reports, the incident took place on the previous night when Gau Rakshaks allegedly stopped a plywood-loaded lorry after suspecting that animals were being transported inside the vehicle.
Reports stated that when local Muslims objected to the stopping of the lorry, stone pelting took place. Allegations were also made that no immediate action was taken by the police during the incident.
Following the tension, MLA Majid Hussain reportedly intervened and brought the lorry back near the police station, where he staged a protest questioning police negligence and handling of the situation.
Videos related to the incident reportedly spread rapidly across Instagram before access to the posts was restricted in India.
Instagram Notice Cites Section 79(3)(b) of IT Act
The message displayed on the restricted posts mentioned action under Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
The restriction reportedly came after Government of India or law enforcement communication to the social media platform.
The notice shown on the posts carried the date May 17, 2026.
Majid Hussain Shares Screenshot and Owaisi Quote
After the restriction, Majid Hussain shared screenshots of the notice on his Instagram story.
He also shared a famous quote attributed to Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi which stated:
“Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen bachon ka khel nahi hai, ye siyasat hamare ghar ki laundi hai, ham iske ghulam nahi hai samjhe.”
Majid Hussain also wrote on his Instagram story:
“One voice silenced, thousands of voices roared.”
Reels Had Gone Viral Before Restriction
According to social media users, the reels related to the Hyderabad incident had gained massive traction and were widely circulating on Instagram before they became unavailable in India.
The issue has sparked discussion among social media users regarding content restrictions and the viral spread of political protest videos online.
