Medical Shop Owners Protest Against MedPlus During All India Medical Shops Bandh

Rangareddy District: Members of the Mylar Devpally Medical Shop Owners Association staged a protest against MedPlus after the medical store reportedly remained open during the All India Medical Shops Bandh called on Tuesday. Protesters demanded support for the nationwide bandh and raised concerns over online medicine sales, heavy discounts, and fake medicines.

Protest Held Against MedPlus in Mylar Devpally

According to local reports, the Mylar Devpally Medical Shop Owners Association organized a protest after a MedPlus medical shop remained open despite the All-India Medical Shops Bandh call.

Association members gathered and demanded that MedPlus cooperate with the bandh being observed by medical shop owners.

Association Questions MedPlus Over Bandh Support

Protesters questioned why MedPlus was not supporting the bandh when large pharmacy chains like Apollo Pharmacy had reportedly cooperated with the shutdown.

The protesting members said all medical shops should support the All India Medical Shops Bandh collectively.

Key Demands Raised by Medical Shop Owners

The protesting medical shop owners raised several demands during the agitation, including:

  • Stopping online medicine sales
  • Reducing heavy discounts on medicines
  • Taking strict action against fake medicines
