National Thai Boxing Championship 2023 Kicks Off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The National Thai Boxing Championship for the year 2023 commenced with grandeur at the L.B. Stadium (Boxing Hall), Hyderabad, on September 16th, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The event witnessed a spectacular inauguration attended by esteemed delegates and participants from all corners of the nation.
The inauguration program saw the presence of several notable figures in the world of Thai boxing, including:
- Sri. Gautham Chabukswar, MLA, PCMC, President, Maharastra Thai Boxing Association
- Sri. Haji Dastagir Maniyar, Working President, Thai Boxing India Federation
- Sri. P. Y. Attar, Chairman, Thai Boxing India Federation
- Sri. Santosh Khairnar, President, Thai Boxing India Federation
- Sri. K. Jagadishwer Yadav, Secretary, Telangana Olympic Association, Hyderabad
- Dr. S. R. Prem Raj, Former Director of Sports, GHMC, and Vice President, Telangana Olympic Association
- Dr. Narsaiah, OSD to Chairman, Sports Authority of Telangana
- Sri. Yoonus Karuvarakundu, Technical Director, Thai Boxing India Federation
- Sri. Mohd Sajid, Treasurer, Thai Boxing Association of Telangana
- Sri. Syed Suleman, Joint Secretary, Thai Boxing Association of Telangana
The program was presided over by Dr. P. Venkateshwar Reddy, President of the Thai Boxing Association of Telangana.
The inaugural day witnessed the participation of more than 300 Thai boxing players, both boys and girls, from different age groups representing various regions across the nation. Additionally, over 50 officials from different states were present at the event.
The National Thai Boxing Championship 2023 is set to conclude on September 17, 2023. The closing ceremony will feature games from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by the prize distribution ceremony honoring the winners and runners-up of the National Thai Boxing Championship-2023.
The championship promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and sportsmanship, bringing together athletes and enthusiasts from all over India to celebrate the art of Thai boxing.
