Over 65,000 double bedroom houses to be distributed in Greater Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, K T Rama Rao (KTR), announced that the distribution of over 65,000 double bedroom houses in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will commence in the first week of August and continue until the third week of October.
During a review meeting held on Wednesday, KTR emphasized the need to ensure that these houses are allocated solely to deserving beneficiaries, with no political interference, as per a release.
To maintain transparency in the selection process of beneficiaries, he recommended seeking the cooperation of District Collectors under GHMC.
The GHMC has meticulously prepared a schedule for the distribution of the double bedroom houses, and up to this point, more than four thousand double bedroom houses have already been constructed and provided to the poor in in-situ areas.
According to the distribution schedule prepared by GHMC, the distribution of double bedroom houses will commence in the first week of August and continue till the third week of October.
Moreover, in addition to the already completed houses in six phases, those in the final stages of construction might also be included in the distribution program from time to time, the release added.
