Owaisi Denied Permission for Meeting in Barabanki

Barabanki: The Barabanki district administration denied permission for a meeting of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi due to security reasons.
Owaisi is currently campaigning in Uttar Pradesh for his party ahead of the state Assembly elections. On Tuesday, he began his campaign in Ayodhya, and on Thursday, he will speak at a meeting in Barabanki.
The AIMIM’s Sajjad Hussain had requested permission for a public meeting at Katra Imambara SDM Sadar Nawabganj, Pankaj Singh, said on Wednesday night that permission could not be granted due to security concerns.
According to the SDM, only 50 people will be allowed to participate in this programme due to the coronavirus protocol.
Meanwhile, Owaisi, speaking at a party meeting in Sultanpur on Wednesday, claimed that Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India twice because of the presidents of the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party’s folly.
He was responding to Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati’s accusations that he was a “vote spoiler” for their respective parties.
He stated that his goal was to strengthen his party’s electoral position ahead of the state’s Assembly election. (IANS)
