Hyderabad: The Passing Out Ceremony for the second batch of Agniveers took place at the Artillery Centre in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The parade was presided over by Major General Rakesh Manocha, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding Telangana and Andhra Sub Area.

This historic event was unique as it witnessed the absorption of over 2700 Agniveers into the Regiment of Artillery, making it the largest course to be trained at any Regimental Centre.

After completing 31 weeks of physically challenging and mentally demanding training, the Agniveers will now join their respective Artillery Regiments. This was a moment of great pride for the Centre, the instructors, and the parents.

The parade, attended by both military and civilian dignitaries along with the parents, saw the Reviewing Officer commend the Agniveers for their significant contributions to the Indian Army.

He highlighted that the discipline and camaraderie instilled in them during their training would enable them to serve the Army effectively and ensure a bright future ahead, a Defence release said.
