Hyderabad: Postilion Mobility Technologies launched “OK Chalo,” a mobility-on-demand platform which is ushering a new era of urban mobility.

“OK Chalo,” by playing the Match Maker Role instead of an aggregator role, prioritizes user-friendliness, convenience, affordability and user-satisfaction apart from simplifying the entire driver-rider engagement.

And it charges only Rs.5/- as the match making fee instead of hefty commissions that are seen in the ride hailing platforms.

“OK Chalo” is available on both Google Play Store and IOS App Store. Already over 3500 Auto and Cab Drivers have signed up to drive on OK Chalo Platform and Driver Registrations are still ongoing in Hyderabad/ Secunderabad/ Cyberabad, in order to solve the shared mobility woes of the city.

Speaking at the launch of “OK Chalo,” Udaya Bhaskar Voruganti, Founder and Director, Postilion Mobility Technologies said, “OK Chalo is a culmination of over 2 years of hard work. We spent a good amount of time studying the urban mobility platforms across the world and have had extensive discussions periodically with various Driver Union Representatives to understand the issues and challenges from their perspective.

In “OK Chalo” we have ensured that we keep both the driver and the rider at the centre of our proposition. This App is the first transparent platform where the rider and the driver can engage and can talk to each other directly on aspects like even the fare while OK Chalo plays only the role of a Match Maker/ Facilitator prior to the ride so that there are no surprises later for either of them.”

“OK Chalo” focuses on a number of relevant features which are fundamental to the ride experience for the rider as well as the driver. Protecting Privacy is viewed seriously and hence personal information of both the Rider and the Driver are not shared with each other or anyone. Instead, “OK Chalo’s” Click to Call service allows the passengers and Drivers can interact with each other without having to disclose personal information.

“OK Chalo” also brings in complete transparency vis-à-vis the FARE. The fare algorithm employed is straight forward so that there are no surges or inflated fares in Peak Hours of Demand. There are no additional convenience fees, hidden charges, or fare shares which are commonly found on other ride hailing Apps. The rider pays only the agreed fare directly to the driver by Cash /UPI.

Speaking at the launch, Naveen Patibandla, Director, Postilion Mobility Technologies said, “”We aligned our tech stack, to provide best value proposition to our driver partners and consumers. The platform is built after extensive user research and would continue to evolve keeping both driver and consumer interests in mind.”

Once the rider accepts the fare, it is paid directly to the driver. There are no middlemen, commissions, or hidden fees. “OK Chalo,” charges a flat matchmaking fee of Rs. 5/- from the Driver and the Rider upon confirmation of the ride. Therefore, regardless of distance or the cost of the ride, be it Rs 50 or Rs 500, there are no rude shocks or additional financial burden on anyone.

For the drivers, “OK Chalo” provides all the features to help them make informed decisions. The drivers are shown the destination and Fare before accepting the ride.

It promotes transparency by allowing drivers to make informed decisions based on distance, traffic, and time required to complete the ride resulting in a more reliable and efficient ride-hailing experience for passengers, with fewer cancellations.

Also as the mode of payment of fare is direct between the Rider and the Driver, there are no settlement delays, and the Driver receives payment for his service instantaneously at the end of the trip.

“OK Chalo” with its strong proposition, transparent approach and its intuitive, user-friendly interface is also looking at franchise partners across India. They are looking for like- minded individuals and businesses who want to make a significant difference in the ride-booking industry.

Postilion Mobility Technologies, headquartered in Hyderabad, commenced operations in 2022. It is a DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) recognized start-up which is aiming to disrupt urban mobility and the ride-hailing industry.
